Hello Blog World

Ok so this is totally new to me.

Is there anyone who is really interested in my life? We'll see.

I have been seeing and reading other acquaintances/friends blogs and thought maybe I should start one. I mean it seems rather straight forward.

I have been married (therefore a wife) since May 2000 and a mom starting in May 2001. Now don't you think there weren't the month counters after I got married! :)

We moved into our first home in August 2000 and shortly there after discovered I was pregnant. We are still in our first home plus 2 more additions after the May '01 birth. So don't you know the first home is getting quite crowded! But then the mortgage thing happened and we have to sit tight for a bit.

My husband, Eric , and I met through match.com in 1998. LOL The degree that connected us was he was in a band called Sly Winkerdean. This was the only band I had ever seen in Atlanta. So we met at the Checkered Parrot on Jimmy Carter Blvd and had drinks (sweet tea!). I was living off of Clairmont Road and he was living off of Club Dr. For being total opposites, we hit it off and the rest is family.

Eric moved around quite a bit before landing in Pittsburgh PA when he was 11. There he stayed until he was 17. Then he moved it to Houston and stayed in the South for a while. Finally in 1996 he moved to Atlanta when his brothers did and has been here ever since.

My children are Benjamin, Gavin and Gini (short for Virginia not Jennifer). As of today they are 7, 4, & 2.

I hate to be a mom who says her child is smart but I am. Benjamin blows me away with his intelligence. He is reading way beyond his grade level (2nd). Now he has started "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. His only downfall is he is incredibly chatty and therefore his class behavior is less than perfect. He brought home his first report card with letter grades and it was straight A's. I don't think I ever did that. Always had a B somewhere. He set his bar really high!

Gavin is my lover. He is a solidly built little 4 year old and can give good scrappy fighting. He will be a football player. Has incredible balance. Is very smart. And he just loves to love. Just recently he has become allergic to dairy. Which is terrible! I am having to look at things a whole new way.

Gini is the princess and boy does she know it. Plus she is in her terrible 2's. You just sweetly tell her "no" and she will give a hysterical temper tantrum. I love her and would never trade her for anything.

Children are calling.

God bless and good bye
